Jambojet Plans to Boost Numbers btn Western Kenya & Coastal Region
Jambojet has recently partnered with hotels located in the Coastal region of Kenya to attract travellers from Western Kenya to the region due to an increase in demand for passengers seeking to travel in between the regions.
This comes after the number of visitors visiting the Coastal region extremely went down due to the new covid-19 measures imposed by President Uhuru Kenyatta on 26th March, 2021 that saw movement in and out of 5 counties (Nairobi, Machakos, Nakuru, Kiambu and Kajiado counties) restricted.
The lockdown within the 5 counties also cut both the road and railway connection between Western Kenya and the Coastal region.
A KShs. 15,300 package consisting of a return ticket from Eldoret-Kisumu-Mombasa plus a 3-day accommodation on full board was unveiled by the budget carrier.
The campaign dubbed ‘from lakeside to the seaside’ which is currently effective, running from 16th April to 30th June,2021 will see visitors benefiting a lot from the additional incentives.
This initiative will results in a boost in numbers in both the carrier and hospitality industry after the new covid19 restrictions had previously hit their businesses hard.
“Hotels at the Coast have created flying packages to lure potential customers from the North Rift and Western Kenya regions, Baobab Beach Resort, Diani Sea Lodge, Plaza Beach Hotel, Sarova Whitesands and Plan Hotels are offering attractive packages,” said the Jambobet Head of Sales and Marketing, Titus Oboogi.
