It’s back to back home games weekends for Kisumu Lakeside as they face off against Equity Dumas Basketball team tomorrow, Sunday 26th February.

Last weekend Lakeside Basketball Club hosted Eldonets on Saturday in a thriller that they won in the last quarter of the game, then narrowly lost to Ulinzi Warriors in a hard slip the next Sunday.

The Lakeside-Dumas match up will tip off from 1 pm at the Kisumu Sportsgrounds courts. Lakeside have three league matches to end of season and need at least one more emphatic win (at best two) to secure their place in the post season playoffs and ensure they don’t get the drop from the league.

This means every game is a fight for life for our city’s boys, and true to this, their last two home games were some hard fought showpieces.

Tomorrow we’ll most likely witness another proper duel, the game has all the ingredients for a classic.

Equity are a well oiled side with Kenyan internationals in their ranks.

They are always in the conversation for getting the championship every season. Their last road game here saw them clinch a win at the Manyatta Arabs courts.

Tomorrow they meet a rejuvenated, win hungry, against all odds Lakeside team that throws everything at you, never stops coming, and will want to get the win this season. Sparks will fly, and then some.

Every fan relishes such a match up. The last two matches had it all, energy, grit and adrenaline. As sporty atmosphere to live for.

The players feed off it too. If you love ball, being courtside will be the ultimate dose for your Sunday’s basketball fix.

See you there as Kisumu rallies for a very important win the premier league.
