Hosts Kenya will face Sudan in their opening Group A match of the CECAFA U-18 Boys Championship on November 25th, 2023 in the town of Kisumu.

The Championship which will attract eight teams will be played in the towns of Kisumu and Kakamega between November 25th to December 9th.

But before the second group A match featuring the hosts, Somalia will battle Rwanda in the opening match of the Championship.

Yussuf Mossi, the CECAFA Competitions Director says this tournament will help the teams prepare and get match practice ahead of the AFCON U-20 Zonal qualifiers next year. ” It is a good platform for the youngsters and the technical teams to test the teams, ” added Mossi.

Group B which will be based in Kakamega will see Zanzibar open against South Sudan on November 26th, while Tanzania battle Uganda in the second match.

The semi finals will take place December 5th. All the semi final matches and the final will be played in Kisumu.
