“Girls Aloud” took center stage over the weekend as comedy enthusiasts were treated to a two-day spectacle led by an all-female lineup celebrating International Women’s Month. Among the highlights was Tumi Morake’s stellar performance headlining Gilbey’s “Girls Aloud” Comedy Extravaganza, showcasing the wit and humor of talented women in the comedy scene.
The comedy spectacle commenced on Saturday, 9th March 2024, with a grand gala at the prestigious National Museum’s Louis Leakey Auditorium, setting the stage for an evening filled with uproarious laughter and unforgettable performances. This laughter-filled extravaganza continued the following day with a delightful matinee at The Two Grapes Wines & Friends in Kilimani, ensuring that the multi-divergent audience had the opportunity to indulge in the comedic brilliance on display.
Acclaimed, award-winning South African comedian Tumi Morake and Tanzania’s foremost female comedian Neyla Manga shared the stage with the glamorous, relatable, and truly Kenyan acts Ciru Mwangi, Nelly Wangechi, and Mama Ngina, all hosted by the witty Shazz Nderitu in a celebration of womanhood, side-splitting jokes and scintillating banter. Girls Aloud was a scene to behold.
